[ Mick's been making the best of the sickness, torn between moments of exhaustion and drifting off only to wake up from dreams of falling.
He's drifted off again, but this time his dream isn't about falling. He manages to open his door in his sleep, fumbling the movements before finding success, and from there he steps out and drifts towards the living room.
As he moves, he bumps the walls and kicks a few errant items left around, but none of it shakes him awake. ]

[ John hasn't been trying to fuss so much over the big man. Neither of them are the nannying types, even with how close they've gotten recently. So he doesn't comment on the sleepless nights on end until he's too tired to stumble his heavy arse to bed without help. He doesn't do much more than putting somewhat palatable if a bit simple food in front of him in the hopes that he'll manage a bit.
Even if he gets faces made at him like some stroppy toddler when he sets a cuppa in front of him. Eventually, even that disappears, probably helps that he puts a bit of scotch into the brew.
One of the later nights that he doesn't go to bed until Mick has finally tucked himself away, he wakes up groggy and a bit disoriented at hearing stumbling about and a bang or two. He doesn't think it's a break in but still, he tosses off the covers and pads down the stairs, alert for anything amiss. What he finds instead is Mick bumbling through the living room, and thinks to call out his name before he realizes that the bloke is still asleep. ]

He's in one of Herc's shirts and his own pajama bottoms, feet bare as he goes to gently stop the big man's forward movement. Carefully taking his arms to slowly turn him, he tries to get him going back towards his room without startling him awake, voice calm as he does. ] Easy, mate. I've got you.

[ Mick still isn't used to a whole lot of touching. Even the nice ones here feel like something unreal, so when he feels the touch, he starts to tense up, but it's John's voice that relaxes him again.

[ John only really stopped in to organize a bit. It's not far from his house but with memories going as they are and the impromptu trips down that particular lane courtesy of Deerington he's needing things to do. To keep himself busy.

So on May 10th, there's a couple of gifts for him that Luna's made because of course she had to. Firstly, she's made him a brownie cake. Nothing fancy, but chocolate brownies are always a safe bet. She's had to be a little creative with the recipe, considering a lot of fresh ingredients are hard to come by now. But it's worked quite well, and still quite delicious.
And yes, there's candles to go with it. And yes, she's going to make him use them and blown them out. He can huff about it all he wants, she's going to fuss.
She's also made him a bracelet out of leather and little beads of jasper. She promises she didn't sneeze too much around it, still a little groggy with the dreaded death flu. While it's currently unmagical, when Luna remembers herself again she'll be sure to add a charm to the bracelet at a later date.

The heaviness in Glitch's voice seems a far cry from the anger of the young man wanting to throw paint on walls and kick and shout and all else at Mother Superior back months ago. [ Booker shows up with a bottle of whiskey that he's already taken a few mouthfuls from along the way. there's still plenty enough left for John (for both of them), and he realizes when he sees the empty horizon where the house ought to be that he probably should've brought some cups, or something. ]
