Yeah, the bastard came in swinging his weight around and stomping about like a child having a tantrum. Spell worked, he got as good as he gave me. Lucky for us, another bloke from his world was about to put him in his place for the time being.
[ He's not going to say it out loud but it's a little easy to tell when she's feeling worried. His tone is gentle, though. ]
Someone else stopped by to take a look at it, patched me right up. He hasn't caused any issue for you, has he?
I'm not the sort for looking for the best in even more rotten bastards than myself on my best day. There's a few around him that seem to think he's capable, so for the sake of the rest of us I hope they're actually right.
Mostly cause the ones who seem to think he's worth anything at all seem incredibly tired of playing mother hen with that one.
[ He can't help a chuckle at her comment as to the message. ]
Yeah, I hope so too. I saw him at the hotel back in January - he seemed okay, then. I mean, he didn't really have a reason to be mad at me at that point, so that probably makes a difference, but still.
[She grins.]
Okay, so, yeah, I probably shouldn't have been poking the bear, but after everything he's done... it's kinda hard not to, you know?
Had a run in back then with him as well. Ours was less than pleasant. Tried to take me on and take part of the hallway down with me cause he was having a bloody tantrum. Managed to remind him that he still owed me from back in October.
[ Settled him down at the time and John went on his merry and left that one to stew instead of helping him find his way through the place. ]
Sometimes it's necessary though. Seems like he's gone a long while without anyone having a pair enough to have a go at him. Probably rankles that he's been left to question his life choices by us three.
All the troubles with this guy seem to stem back to October. That was when Glitch first ran into him too. If it was just a one off I guess I could find it more forgivable- especially after what happened to me in February, but he doesn't even seem to be trying to do better.
Hopefully this works, and at least if it doesn't, we'll stand a better chance of surviving a run in with him.
We'd met before then but it wasn't the same. Once he was a child. Got a good idea of some of the things he contended with but that's no bloody excuse for the kind of bastard he is. We've all got our demons.
He's a dog off his chain, love. We only put it back on so he could think long and hard on his sins. [ A heavy sigh. ] There's others here that care about him, which is good, but it also means it'd be wise of us to keep a weather eye on things around us, yeah?
Don't know who might get upset by proxy considering what we've done. You'll let me if you catch wind of anything that sits ill with you?
Yeah, exactly. I get he's had problems, but that's not Glitch's fault. Or anyone else's. And it seems like it's getting worse? We did what we had to, I know that, and I think others will recognize it too.
But yeah, you're right - he does have friends here. At least some of them seem to realize what he's doing isn't okay. Usagi reached out to me after she found out about him tearing down my house and offered to make him rebuild it, but...
[She shrugs.]
I don't trust him, and I wouldn't trust a house he built for someone he's got a grudge against not to fall down on them, you know? I'm not in any hurry to die again, John. Once was enough.
But yeah, I'll keep you in the loop if I hear anything. You too, huh? Be careful out there.

I guess we should've taken his pain tolerance into account. Hopefully it will at least make him think twice before he attacks anyone else, though.
He hasn't been around, no, and I don't think he will be. I'm not alone here - there's a lot of other people he'd have to face too.
[She smiles a little, and shrugs.]
I might have dropped a little message to him to see how his head was doing.

Well, we weren't looking to have him whinging in bed all day either, were we? Still, it worked. It's down to him for making it right now.
[ He grins a little wickedly at mention of what she did. ]
I'll bet he loved that.

[She can't help smiling.]
Oh, yeah. Totally impressed. One hundred percent his favourite message.

Would've loved to see his face when he got it.
