[ John can appreciate that. He's only open to it with people he knows well. The team back home and this lot here are quickly winding up on the open to it list.
He notices the way Mick relaxes at the sound of his voice and keeps it light. They've gotten impossibly close in the months past here. Not just because they've been sharing living spaces, but also cause they've been getting closer in other ways. Emotional and physical. ]
I'll let you return the favor a little later, eh?
[ Still not loud enough to rouse as he moves Mick back towards the bedroom. He has to creatively sidestep a few items and risk getting nudged over himself to keep him from knocking into the doorframe and all but it's worth it. Once they get over to the bed, he nudges at his arms a little. ]
[ Mick grunts softly, sitting somewhere between awake and asleep as John guides him. For all his innate stubbornness, he doesn't really resist at all as he's guided, even if he is a little clumsy on his feet in this state.
Something in his brain tells him he's safe now and once he's getting nudged into bed, he finally opens his eyes, squinting up at John. ]
[ Ah, he was hoping to get him back in without him waking up. Still, he's calm now and it could've been loads worse. He's dealt with this sort of thing a few times on cases. Most of the time new parents who don't know that it's not in their best interest to wake their little one. Disorientation and possible ghostly goings-on never go well together.
He offers a grin, a little tired around the edges. ]
You were sleeping walking, banging around out there a bit. I got you back here.
[ He makes no comment on the alarm that crosses Mick's features but he does reach out to place a hand on the other man's shoulder, squeezing. Looking to the door, he considers what might it take to ward the door to let him know if Mick gets past a barricade---
And promptly decides that's work for the morning. A quick gesture of his hand moves the dresser in front of the door and he gently nudges at Mick. ]
Better plan, you get comfortable I'm staying down here with you tonight.
[ Mick wants to protest, but he's achy and exhausted and he remembers lying with John after John had gone through similar. The comfort he knows he'd derive from it is very real and he's past the point of embarrassment with John, anyway.
He curls back into bed, pulling the blanket up over him and leaving room for John. Slash is sleeping in her little makeshift heated blanket burrow on the bedside table, too. ]
[ There’s an almost argument that comes. Maybe not so much arguing as protesting. The bloke doth protest too much and all that other rubbish, yeah? Save it.
Still, the moment passes and Mick concedes in that silent clash of wills. He climbs up under the blanket and settles in on his left side, facing toward the middle of the bed. ]
[ Mick turns and curls a little towards John with a grunt. Maybe he should say thanks or any other number of things, but instead he closes his eyes and breaths deep.
He doesn't trust easily and maybe that's in part because it's mutual. A lot of the Legends have made it clear over the years that he's one of them, but his motives are in question more than anyone else's and fair enough because he has turned on them a few times. He'd trusted Snart and Amaya and they're both gone. He trusts Nate, but he's not here. He still doesn't know where anything stands with Charlie now.
It's all just a lot more than he's used to sifting through, but he's starting to trust John and he's not sure if that's a good thing or if he'll get burned.

He sighs after a moment of silence. ]
Thanks I guess.
