[ There’s no use pushing for anymore. This isn’t Liv. She isn’t Zed. Maybe that’s why it smarts so much. At least those two had a measure of coming to him first. Before things got this far. Sure, there were things he didn’t know out of the gate but there always comes a time like this when dealing with these sorts of things.
It always comes out in the open, wanted or not. Even if Peter had never told him, signs would’ve eventually pointed that way. Maybe they already started and he just wasn’t---] I didn’t mean to imply that you do. But as childlike as Paimon is he is still a demon. A Demon King, at that.
[ If there is any way to subvert things, the creatures he knows them to be will take any advantage, no matter how small.
Luna starts in on the warning then and his head drops, mouth pursing as he nods. This---it’s what he was afraid of happening himself. He was aware the clock was already ticking down way before Peter ever came looking for him in this town and who knows if it slowed or sped up with his being here. ]
His consciousness is being pushed down when Paimon takes control. It doesn’t have to actively try to force Peter out eventually, he’ll just have control on his own. It happens like that in my world. Usually, the soul of the possessed is delivered---elsewhere when the demon finally takes over.
I might not know my demons, but I do understand the gravity of that. [ Because this still isn't her area of magic. She knows that. And she knows as broken as Paimon is, he's something incredibly powerful. A King of Hell. It's a heavy weight, one she's learning to hold. ]
I remember reading that demons like Paimon shouldn't be without someone like me. They have too much power otherwise. So they remember their place, sort of speak. [ The proverbial muzzle of sorts, maybe. Paimon serves, but of course there's still a level of respect that he needs to be given. But if Luna bonding with him means he can be kept in line, not wreck havoc? It's still worth it. Deerington is difficult enough without a demon king running riot without anyone holding the reigns.
Luna swallows thickly, her gaze lowering. It was a bitter pill to swallow. She thought maybe making the bond with the demon would save Peter, keep him present in some sort of strange co-existence. But the fact one day he'll still disappear hurts her heart in ways she didn't know she could feel. There's a soft sigh and she grows sombre. ]
I don't either. I mean, there's not exactly usual afterlives out there when we're here, is there? [ Considering that's what he's referring to with 'elsewhere'. Heaven and Hell. What would it be in Deerington? The Death Realm, that soft grey place of endless fields? Is that where Peter would go. ] Is there anything else we could do, to maybe keep Peter here? Other than the obvious, I mean.
[ She doesn't even know if Paimon can be cast out. ]

I’m not quite sure what that means for him here.
